6 most Important Relationships/people we need in our life
Our outcome in life is pretty linked to the people closest to us & u will receive the rewards & consequences u mix with..Right people add to you, wrong people take from you.
1)We need people to motivate us to obey.
- They are usually the leaders that are placed over our lives.
- They correct, rebuke, constantly motivates us to hear His voice.
2) We need people who are open to change & correction.
- If you don’t correct yourself,God will send someone to correct you. But are you open to change & correction? (you can’t lead a horse to drink if it does not want to)
3) We need people who encourages us to have faith. (I need more of such people in my life)
- Do you have the “can-do” people in your life?
- Do you have “crazy friends” that will push you to do things & make an impact in others/society?
4) We need people who are willing to stand up for us in our absence.
- Will you stand up & fight for your friend in their absence? Or when you hear anything bad/negative about them?
- Mbrs, will you stand up & protect your leader?
5) We need people to remind us to be grateful.
- Your magnitude of gratitude will promote you faster than your talents.
- Gratitude towards God and people will bring you to high places.
Over a conversation with a colleague recently,we were just saying that how ungrateful people can be nowadays..For e.g. i was sharing with her a story abt how some people can drive but they don’t even offer to send a friend back when is late at night (esp the whole trip probably only takes 10 mins). For her,so long as she drive, she can still send someone to the west before heading home to the east.Sometimes,it makes me wonder non-believers behave much better than believers..No wonder maybe these people never win any souls for the
kingdom of
God because of their actions…
6) We need people to motivate us to be generous.
- Has anyone remember you of your sowing into their lives?
I have one friend, who watch me grew up in church (my very 1st cg mbr) whom I always remember how generous he is..When i 1st came to church,i was only a student (who have to gv tuition to earn my own food & transport expense)..He always bring me & my friends out for coffee after church service & most of the times,we don’t want to go cos of finances & he will always say: “go already then see how”..Eventually, he always pay for & bless all of us for the drinks & food that we ate..
- We ought to be generous not just in finances but also in our time,conduct,behavior..It is a lifestyle..
Frankly speaking, you can’t bring all the money with you when u die one day..What’s the point in earning so much if you can’t even learn how to share & bless the poor? The bible says to whom much is given, much is expected..
Do you have any such friends in your life?
Before you even ask the above question, are you one to begin with?
