Countdown overseas

Looking forward to finish chc svc tmr,all my admin work for cg & my SOT gathering in the evening,then,I will go home & slp as I need to wake up at 3am to go to the airport.You see,I be catching a plane at 6am for my long awaited trip to Hong Kong & Macau. This is probably the first year that I will spend my countdown to a brand new year overseas.

The group that I am going with consists of 5 gals & 3 guys..Hmmm..I prob am close to all the guys & 1 gal only bah…So,I guess I will not be that hyper & “I”.
This is also the first time that I am going away with my darling..I wonder how is it going to be like.. :)

I have already decided on the 1 most impt item that I am going to get on the 1st day in HK - Boots..Cos I be wearing my canvas shoes & not very nice if we are really goin to chk out Lan Gui Fang..Must still stay pretty even on holiday..

So,here’s wishing all a very Happy 2008 & continue to place your hope in Jesus Christ!

She’s growing up fast

My little god-daughter is growing faster than I can say “wow”..Today,I had a little time to spend with her during lunch.She’s really growing up very fast.Today,I saw her throwing her temper & being angry.

But even when she’s angry,she still looks so cute.She huff & puff until I can see her little tummy go up & down.Hahhah.. :)

Now,she knows how to say “no no” & reject things.Not everything offered to her now will be accepted.Then she opened my bag & took out my MP3 & amazingly,she even knows how to put the earphones into her tiny little ears..Well,kids really learn & pick things fast nowadays.Her daddy says she has been “trained” as she has done that before at home.

I bought her a toy for xmas & on the box,there is a picture of a girl & her mummy told me that she will talk to the jie jie (of the pic) at home..so funny..

How I wished there be more times that I can spent with her..

Telepathy with my good friend

In my earlier blog,I wrote that I do not mind a nice but inexpensive watch from my buddy.
If u read her reply to my post,u will note that she wants either her bag or watch (though there are other items listed).

I thot to myself & comments fm her husband,she has many bags already & is really tough to find a big & nice bag that can keep A4 size file also..I gave up after searchs at Bugis Village & Tampines proved futile.I decided to get a watch instead as it be something she can wear & it seems practical too.

Today,we exchange our gifts & when the moment the 2 gifts met,we thought,”why is it that the 2 gifts look so similar in size? And we both went “eh…” & laughed loudly. Her husband said, “why don’t your open up & see if it is similar?” So, we opened up the gifts & we actually bought the same brand for the watch & both watches are squarish face,except for a slight difference in design..Her husband commented, “wow..u both are really best friends,got telepathy huh? And both of you are Mrs Loh/Low”..

I was totally amused by this whole incident & I’m must say that time & again,it has been proven that we really do have similar taste,thoughts,opinions,feelings in certain matters.Many a times,we know what each other is thinking even without saying it out..

This mini incident really makes me thank God once again for a friend like her.Our relationship has gone thru periods of heart-felt sharing,times of standing in the gap for each other,times of fun & laughter,times of tears & sorrows.It is really our growing up years in church as we serve God together in His house.

To my dearest buddy,thank you for your love,care,concern,encouragement,etc,etc,etc & thanks for loving & accepting me the way I am.

Jian Dan happiness

Eating breakfast in the morning with the one you love one is such a simple but xin fu thing…

Walking in the rain under the shelter of an umbrella with the one you love is such a romantic thing…

All these seems trivial but yet I had the feeling of jian dan & xin fu happiness.

The hugs make me feel that I’m being protected & sheltered from all harm,just like how Daddy God protects me.

Jian Dan Xin Fu comes fm the trivial & simplicity of life,which sometimes we tend to overlook.

God is good & always appear at the right timing

God is really a good God & He always appear at the timing that we desperately needed Him.

As a zone,we are targeting to go to various companies,organisations or welfare groups,hoping to do caroling & thereafter,inviting them for our Xmas musical drama.By tuesday afternoon,we still do not have a confirmed group that we can reach out to.

But God showed up at 5pm+ when Linus msg to say that he had connections to Hong Thai Travel & China airlines for us to do caroling.Praise the Lord!
So during our zone mtg,we even practise & run thru the songs.

What we can say? Except the fact that God is good & faithful till the very end.

Missed Sun

Yes,on most days,I will try to hide fm the sun as I get tanned easily & is really tough for me to be “snow white”..But I’m really glad to finally see that the sun is up & high again this morning..

Is so refreshing to see it again & it kinda lift up my mood..Is great to see it bringing light & life to everything.

What an irony! I really do have a love-hate relationship with it & I think it will continue to be so..

My Xmas Wishlist

Following my earlier blog,my dear friend asked me to post my Xmas wishlist…Hmm…Rac,actually,xmas isn’t really that bad & gloomy cos’ I have you guys & gals with me..heehee… :P
Guess is the weather & busyness that has caused the melancholic in me.. :P

I have requested my gift from my dear dear..So,is really tough putting up this list..Sometimes,the best gift friends can give one another is our time,love,encouragement,our presence,prayers (all of which u have done for me & I hope I have too),greetings or even handmade stuff,etc,etc..

Why don’t I tell you what I do not want (seems easier): accessories (i have tons of it already),bags,clothes,soft toys,lotions & masks (i just updated my stock)…

At your special request:
1. A nice but inexpensive watch
2. A new perfume (I like Sunflower frm Elizabeth Arden,Issey,anything that is not too strong)

Hmmm…that’s all I can think of for now..let me see see look look tmr during lunch & see if anything catches my fancy..

No Xmas feeling

Is been pouring non stop in Spore the last few days.The weather has just been erractic,a moment earlier,you see the sunshine,a moment later,dark clouds take over the sky & pour down rain that is so heavy.

How I wish is snow that it is pouring.

I’m not sure if is due to the rainy season that is causing everything to be so dull & gloomy but I really don’t sense the Xmas mood & feeling. Although every year,I will be super busy as the church is gearing up for our Xmas CG & Svc.I never seem to really enjoy my Xmas,it starts by planning for the Xmas CG, then going from one service to another,integrating the friends & immediately,you have to do the Thanksgiving CG.

Even as I walked down Orchard Road the other day,I do not seem to catch the Xmas season though the departmental stores are playing carolling songs,etc.People are shopping gifts for their loved ones & causing a long trail of human traffic.

But I asked myself,what does Xmas really mean?
What really is the Xmas spirit?

Of course,as a believer,is thanking God that Jesus was birthed on this day.
But I guess,is still lies in the spirit of giving,loving & spreading the love of God to others.It is also being thankful that I am still alive & am blessed with a family,a husband-to-be,friends,good job,security…the list goes on and on..

This Xmas,let’s be thankful to Jesus & make it a Xmas that is different from last year.
