I do not know what inspired dear dear to be cooking porridge in the wee hours of the nite (like 11pm+). But that porridge was my breakfast to bring to work this morning.
I love the porridge – is the ‘ruan ruan lan lan’ kind (if u like, the Cantonese style kind). I really appreciate the gesture & that’s what dear dear usually portray his love language – Acts of Service.
When I asked him tonight, if it is only a one time event or can I expect more to come in the future, he said so long as I don’t grow sick & tired of it, not a problem to cook. Wow, what a great husband I have.
As to why porridge for breakfast, stay tuned for the next blog..

Dear Dear and I have never really emphasize or go the extra mile or effort to celebrate V day as we find it too commercialized. We rather make extra effort on our anniversary or birthdays. Nonetheless, we will still spend some time together on this day during our dating days.
This year is the first V day that we spend as a married couple. When you are on a tight budget, you can still bless each other. So, Dear Dear & I bought each other a watch last week (not some super expensive watch but is the thought that counts). It does not hurt that I have always like watches and love collecting them.
Since we already bought something for each other, I wasn’t expecting anything else. Dear Dear will be working on Sun (i.e. 15 Feb) and have to be on duty at JW on Sat, so he kept asking me to go JW Sat svc..Well, he disclaimed that it was not because of my earlier blog. He said he long had that intention even before I wrote the blog (I shall give him credit for that).. Of course I went for JW Sat svc and did what all married couples did that day.
When I woke up on Sat morning, to my pleasant surprise, I found a box with 2 Care Bears inside (finally, they have arrived..
). Dear Dear actually placed them beside me after I fell asleep. I thought that was so sweet of him.
Inexpensive gifts that touch my heart is better than gifts that are bought without giving thoughts to it.
To my dearest darling, thank you.

One member asked me yesterday, “So Pst is preaching on romance, marriage & relationship, does it mean that he will get the married people to exchange their vows again like the marriage seminar he preached last yr?”
“Hmm, I’m not sure leh, maybe ba..” that was my reply. So she got excited & said, “Oh,that means you & Yew Weng will do that also,hahaha..”
I said, “No lor, my husband won’t bother about me cos he will be on duty, it won’t happen.” True enough, it turns out to be that way that he didn’t bother about me.
My member said, “Is ok, still got next wk, pst say got smthg special..” I said, “It still won’t happen to me, I can guarantee that.”
