OMG!
My butt, thigh & waist have expanded during pregnancy & I just realized that they have yet to return back to the pre-pregnancy state. I tried putting on my jeans and they won’t “go up” beyond my butt. GOSH!!! And it doesn’t help that my jeans are all either skinny kind or slim cutting kind that just fits nicely.
Oh man! When will I be able to fit into them? I do not want to waste $$ to buy extra clothes.
Someone, help!!!

This is not the weight of baby.
It is the amount of weight that I need to lose for me to return back to my pre-pregnancy weight.
But my tummy is still a little big but can only do crunches after 40 days according to the auntie who did post-natal massage for me. Even during my PE days in sec & JC days, I am not even so diligent to exercise. But I really want to see that tummy disappear soon (hopefully by end of 2nd mth after birth). So, I have decided to start crunches and sit-ups after 11th Nov.

We all know that sometimes when we are in a bad or difficult situation, the last thing we need to know or hear is, ” I told you already” or people adding salt to the wound.
It’s not as if we do not know how bad/difficult the situation is, is fine if you do not want to help but don’t give any more negative comments or say such things like, “You should have planned out first” or “Didn’t I tell you so..”
What’s worse is somethings such comments come from your own family/parents. On one hand, you feel like telling them off yet on the other hand, you want to control your temper & not leash out. So, all I can respond is just to keep quiet and not let my anger get the better of me.
In one occasion, they were the one who suggested to have the party and we did raised our concerns over $$. Then they said, just do it first & they will see how they can help. Now due to the tight finances we have, they are saying that we should have done our sums first and we should raise this concern earlier. They keep asking what happen to our finances and why we didn’t save up, etc, etc…
What do you want me to say?

Not only does it serve its basic purpose – to contain all the urine & motions (for those who prefer nappies over diapers & grandma will tell u that babies won’t have diaper rash. But I personally think that this basic purpose of nappies is useful only when babies has learn to control their bowel and not when they are newborn).
They can also be used as a wrap to swaddle baby.
It can only serve as a “protection cover” over the bedsheet of baby’s cot (in case they “merlion” their milk after feeding cos u never know when they will spit out and if you don’t want to change the bedsheet in the wee hours).
It can also served as a pillow for baby to lie on.
Not too bad for something that has a “long history”.. I also grew up wearing nappies.. Just wondering if my mummy has discovered all these uses of the nappies..

Yup.. But is watching svc online.. Heard that Pst Tan has a great word this wkend. Baby is co-operative too, had her milk at 9.45am, which allows Mummy to catch svc.
While worship is still going on, she was still fidgeting and wriggling in my arms but the moment Pst Tan went on stage, she kept still. Talk about anointing on the man of God! Even babies keep still.. haaa..

Oct is a mth that is crucial to us as a zone & chc but yet is also a mth that I’m not around.
Do I miss Tue mtg? Well, yes and no.
Yes => Miss the atmosphere of P&W with my leaders and the sharing that my ZS shared
No => Is really a break for me (and I’m only human)
As I look forward to going back to service & seeing my CG members, I also wonder how I’m going to cope when I need to take care of baby during maternity leave and taking CG.
And worse, I have yet to find a babysitter/nanny when I get back to work in Feb.
Gosh!! Not to mention that financially very tight..

MIL has always been the one who bathe baby since I started confinement. Today is the 1st time that I bathe her on my own cos MIL went to help take nephew to doctor.
So, I figured that by the time she gets back, it probably be too late & near baby feeding time. I decided to do it on my own since I have to do it when I get back to AMK.
Everytime I look at how easy MIL does it, I must say experience counts. By the time I finished dressing baby, I’m already perspiring like nobody’s business (fan off & confinement is hot). I guess practice makes perfect and that’s when my confidence will grow too as I bathe baby more often.

I wonder if baby does take longer feeding time as they demand more milk milk.
Baby feeding time when latching on has increased from the initial 20 mins to 30 mins. But I noted that in the last 2 days, she seem to take about 40/45mins. But it includes the time that she fell asleep and it takes quite a while to wake her up.
What I don’t like about latching on is they usually fall asleep while being fed and baby sometimes like to suck the nipple and I have to open her mouth and remove it.

I admit that beyond “Twinkle Little Stars” and “Bah Bah Black Sheep”, there is no other nursery rhyme or children songs that I’m familiar with. While coaxing baby to sleep one day and she’s getting agitated as the weather is also very hot, I ended up singing in tongues to her…
Does it seem to work? Hmm.. Yes & No ba… At least, it’s something that she’s familiar with (being exposed to singing in tongues 3 times a week).
