Upgrade
Inez has just upgraded to drinking 120ml.
Although she drinks around 90ml – 100ml of EBM, we have just top up to 120ml so that she feels fuller. As for formula in the night,she also drinks 120ml as we find that 90ml no longer seems to fulfill her.
Even with this upgrade, she don’t waste any milk, she will finish until the last drop and Mummy is happy about this.
Why,why,tell me why?
There used to be a old Cantonese song that goes, “Why, why, tell me why?”
Sometimes when baby cries, both daddy & mummy has this habit of asking her, “Baby,why? What’s wrong?” It’s a habit that we unknowingly seem to have. As I write about this blog, is kinda funny cos baby won’t be able to answer our question. Haa…It be great if she can answer..Hee…
Tug of war
Recently, Inez has this habit of stretching herself during feeding. Usually, it has always been that she will stretch herself after feeding where she’s full and satisfied after the feed. Then we will burp her and put her back to the cot to KO and fall asleep.
Mummy has a “tug of war” with her these 2 days on some feeds when she’s latch on. She will drink halfway and suddenly keep waving her hands and legs, then she will keep coming out and going in to the nipples. When she can’t get milk milk cos of her struggling and “kick-boxing” in the air, she will start to whine and cry abit. When Mummy tried to guide her to the nipple after she latch off, she will keep banging her head agst the nipples cos she “kan cheong”, as if someone is going to take away her milk milk.
Even if Mummy hold her head when she’s latch on, she still has the ability to break free and start her “kick-boxing” action again. My girl simply can’t seem to keep still, super active.
Love your smile
I love your smile when:
I stroke you on your cheek
You look so satisfied after every feed
You are having fun at bath time
We play with you
You entertain yourself by stroking yourself with your mitten hands
You are entertained by the noise from the TV
We are sitting in Daddy’s car and how you are fascinated by the different lights as you look at the window
You tried to go “coo coo” and “ga ga”
Double Syllabus
Ever since baby came along, some of the words that we speak has changed to double syllabus.
Milk = milk milk
Pain = pain pain
Bathe = “pom pom”
Pee = pee pee
Poo = poo poo
Full = “bao bao”
3.66kg
Brought baby for her 2nd dose of vaccination for Hep B and she weighs 3.66kg now and has grown a little longer at 53 cm.
Nurse says everything is normal and in the acceptable percentile.
Transistion Period
Baby & Mummy finally came home to their love nest at AMK last Thursday. As is a new environment, baby needs to get adjusted so Friday & Saturday were terrible. Baby keep crying and want to “pao pao” and didn’t sleep much in the day even after being fed, bathe and her diaper changed.
Put her in the cot or Moses basket, within 5-10 mins, she start crying.
But the funny thing was she behaved herself well during Sunday which was her full month party. She didn’t really cry much.
Well, the last 2 days (Monday & Tuesday) was more manageable, at least she slept a little more and I managed to have a quick bath.
I hope that she be getting easier and easier to take care and there is no need to carry her so often (in case it turns into a habit for her) and of course she will slowly learn not to cringe her face till red when she cries.
