After taking care of baby for slightly after one month, I wonder why only mummies can have 4 months maternity leave and daddies only 3 days paternity leave?

I think they should really consider giving daddies longer paternity leave, like maybe 2 months or so, it will really help all mummies and provide a means of support. It also helps to foster bonding between babies and daddies.

With longer paternity leave for daddies, it can also help mummies to take care of baby along. It relieves stress and some time off for mummies too.

Don’t know if is due to the recent rainy (and erratic) season, it seems that mosquitoes are on the “high alert”. I kena 5 “love bites” on the same leg within 2 days. Everyday, I seem to have new “love bites”. Argh!!! Hubby also gotten some “love bites” too.

We have start switching on the mosquito repellent at night. Just hoping that baby don’t kena these “love bites”.

Brought baby for her 2nd dose of vaccination for Hep B and she weighs 3.66kg now and has grown a little longer at 53 cm.

Nurse says everything is normal and in the acceptable percentile.

After one month of confinement, Mummy’s hair has gone “hay-wire” as it has become pretty dry & not manageable. It looks like a bunch of dried up grass.

So, Mummy has a new hair-cut as she cannot stand her hair anymore. The last time that Mummy has such short hair was in her schooling days. And Mummy can’t even remember when she had fringe that dangle at the forehead.

But Mummy thinks that the new hairdo is not too bad. Daddy like it too. So when u see me this sun in church, don’t have a shock.

According to the instructions and labels on the formula milk, baby should be drinking 120ml or more at her current state but we are still feeding her 90ml at the moment.

Sometimes, we wonder if that’s enough for her cos there are times that it seems that she’s still hungry even after 90ml but yet when we “pet pet” her to sleep, she can also fall asleep.

Daddy & Mummy are wondering when we should increase the quantity and is there any signs to let us know that is time to increase the quantity?

Baby & Mummy finally came home to their love nest at AMK last Thursday. As is a new environment, baby needs to get adjusted so Friday & Saturday were terrible. Baby keep crying and want to “pao pao” and didn’t sleep much in the day even after being fed, bathe and her diaper changed.

Put her in the cot or Moses basket, within 5-10 mins, she start crying.

But the funny thing was she behaved herself well during Sunday which was her full month party. She didn’t really cry much.

Well, the last 2 days (Monday & Tuesday) was more manageable, at least she slept a little more and I managed to have a quick bath.

I hope that she be getting easier and easier to take care and there is no need to carry her so often (in case it turns into a habit for her) and of course she will slowly learn not to cringe her face till red when she cries.

We realized that Baby like to poo poo at one shot, which is not a bad thing, at least we don’t have to waste so many diapers.

Usually, her poo is so mega that the whole poo will cover 70% of her diaper. Occasionally, it will overflow until the side of the diaper. The only bad thing about “MEGA” poo is the poo is so smelly and we don’t have any place to dump the wipes on the diaper after cleaning her.

The party just ended 3 hours ago and both Daddy & Mummy are super tired.

After all the guests left, Inez who has been on good behavior (as in not crying a lot, of course, so many people took turn to carry her) started crying and this crying turn to wailing cos she is demanding her milk. Even during the day when she wants milk, she didn’t cry so loud. It causes Daddy & Mummy to wonder if she really loves crowd and noisy places and we also wonder if she don’t like us. (hahaaa)

Anyway, we had a great time catching up with the different ones and are blessed with both mums who made cakes, jellies, kueh for the guests.

We want to thank all the uncles and aunties for all your love gifts, ang pows and blessings. We really really appreciate.

Po Po says that my mummy is not a crybaby when she was at my age. I cry very loud when I demand my milk or when I want a hug hug. But my mummy don’t cry as loud as me & she don’t have volume 1 to 10.

Also, Po Po says my mummy is a good baby who sleeps thru the night. Even when her nanny wakes her up for milk milk, she will continue to sleep. (Is that why mummy is so thin? )

That’s our first few differences.

OMG!

My butt, thigh & waist have expanded during pregnancy & I just realized that they have yet to return back to the pre-pregnancy state. I tried putting on my jeans and they won’t “go up” beyond my butt. GOSH!!! And it doesn’t help that my jeans are all either skinny kind or slim cutting kind that just fits nicely.

Oh man! When will I be able to fit into them? I do not want to waste $$ to buy extra clothes.

Someone, help!!!
